It's time to take control of your money!
I did it! I paid off $173,344 in student loan debt. No longer was I one of the 44 million Americans with student loan debt.
Living paycheck-to-paycheck? Yep, been there, done that. Feeling like I was stuck on a hamster wheel, working hard, making a decent income but still in debt. That was me too.
I decided not to beat myself up about it and took action. With a little planning and some delayed gratification I was able to pay off $173,344 in student loans in a fraction of the time, while also purchasing two homes, buying my dream vehicle, taking care of everything else that required my attention, and also giving (of both my time and money, because we have to do our part to make this a better world).
Today, I know what it takes to get out and stay out of debt and I help other people accelerate their debt-free date by creating a realistic financial plan.

This was my student loan bill; which looks more like a mortgage statement with its six-figure outstanding balance.
I had done all the "right" things, or so I thought. I obtained a couple of degrees, got a "good" job and worked hard. I was the first person in the office and the last one out. I was working my tail off but in reality I wasn't any better off financially than before I went to business school and obtained a high paying job.
Something wasn't right.
And then it happened...
I didn't get a bonus. I can go on about why I believe that was but, the point is, that was a turning point for me.
Here I was making a decent salary, not getting a bonus, and saddled with debt.

And then I had an 'aha' moment...
I got laser-focused and paid off my student loan debt, by creating and using my DREAM BIG framework. I was able to not only slash my student loan debt, but also pay off my car, and accelerate the payoff of my mortgage.
There is power in helping other people take control of their money.
During that time, I was also teaching other women how to take control of their money. We encouraged each other, supported each other and had a good 'ole' time learning and sharing our money do's and don'ts.
We met every month for a year (that was more than 15 years ago) and we still meet today. This was the impetus for me to start my company, Teach Everyone About Money, LLC. It's one thing to analyze the financial statements of a large financial institution (which is what I had done in my day job) but there was more power, and satisfaction, in helping individuals understand their personal financial statement and take control of their money, saving hundreds, even thousands of dollars in interest.
What others say about the course...
"Each class was such an eye opener to things I "heard" of but didn't really know much about. Because of this course, I make much smarter financial decisions like opening an IRA account to save for my retirement."

Hi, I’m Sunny N. Atkinson, a CFP® professional; a saver, debt slayer, educator, and wealth creator!
Since 2009, I've taught people the importance of good money habits by creating a safe and judgement free space to have real conversations about money.
I got my start 30 years ago, working in the financial services industry managing and analyzing financial statements for banks and other financial institutions. I utilized those skills and developed an easy-to-understand method to help people create their own personal financial statements and debt payoff schedule. My course helps people save thousands of dollars in interest, pay off debt faster, and save and invest their money.
I'm committed to helping people who are stressed and overwhelmed with their finances make better financial and life decisions, using the same methods and worksheets I used to pay off six-figure debt.
The premise behind Teach Everyone About Money, LLC, is to make the complicated world of finance simple. I am here to educate and help you live the best stress-free financial life possible.
