Chrissie B.
"Before taking the TEAM course I was exhausted and completely uninspired to get out of debt.
Taking this course helped me understand where my money was going and how much I did not understand my own finances. I’m proud to say that within 4 months after starting the program, I was able to pay $10,000 in debt and pay off 3 credit cards and 2 personal loans.
I am now confident, calm, and I have control over my finances. I will beat this disease called DEBT very soon thanks to TEAM!"

Cassandra B.
"It was very informative and I became aware of my debts and how I can pay them off. Before the class I felt that I just had to live with my debts that’s just the way it is. Now I am hopeful that I will be debt free."

Victoria D.
"I love how the program created a personalized experience to ensure we have the confidence to take control of our own debt!
Sunny has a way of making everyone feel important and created a judge free zone that made everyone comfortable to talk about their money situation with hopes of making it better. After the program, I am so excited to be debt free! "

Hi, I’m Sunny N. Atkinson, CFP®! After years working in financial services and seeing first-hand the effects the economy can have on everyday people’s lives, I wanted to create an online community to make the complicated world of finance and government regulations simple to people.
Many people find it challenging to managing their money and today’s marketplace can be overwhelming. In 2010, I conducted a yearlong program to educate five women, with varying socio-economic backgrounds, to redesign their financial life. I quickly learned my goal of educating this group would be daunting. In the first meeting one woman stated, “Why do I need credit? If I want to buy a house, I’ll just put it in my son’s name”. Yikes! Some of these women had never looked at their credit report, were living paycheck-to-paycheck and didn’t have any money saved for retirement. At the end of the year, the mindset of each woman changed toward their relationship with money; they are now saving automatically, checking their credit report, and have purchased life insurance. I had such a tremendous feeling of joy knowing that I was able to empower someone to reach her financial goals that this program became the impetus for TEAM.
I spent 30 years working in financial services. I am a Certified Financial Planner™. I earned my MBA from Columbia University in New York City, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management – with a concentration in Finance – from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, and a Certificate in Financial Planning from New York University. I am a former professional track and field athlete who competed in the 800 and 1500 meters. In my spare time, I serve my church community and enjoy traveling the world
